Definition of Outcome or Dependent Variable

These terms refer to the variable that is to be predicted or explained in terms of the predictor or independent variable(s). This may be referred to as the disease outcome.

Outcome: Survival

Survival at the end of the study is defined as the PROBABALITY OF NO EVENT taking place on the study.
