WISDOM provides a GUI and a layered study meta data ontology for:

• importing study meta data from previous studies and standardized outcomes ontologies,
• automatically creating an Oracle data base
• exporting CRF definitions (data dictionaries) into REDCap (Vanderbilt) and Epi Info™ (CDC)
• copying and pasting data between spreadsheets (MS Excel, OO Calc ...) and statistical programs (SPSS, SAS ...) and a Web-accessible and secure ORACLE data base for sharing with collaborators.
• importing data from various sources (in progress)
• assisting analyses with µStat , R, SAS, ... (in progress)
• setting up interim analyses to report study progress and emerging risks (planned)
• automatically producing analyses for primary objectives (planned)
• conducting bootstrapped power calculations (planned)
• facilitating data sharing by adding study design information (in progress).

• screening microarrays for gene expression profiles (sets of collaborating genes)
• screening whole genome scans for epistasis between multipoint ranges (diplotypes)
• sorting hierarchical genotype/expression/phenotype factor structures by information content
